Proud to be part of this great community event - two sold out live performances held during Brave New Works 2014, in Denmark Western Australia.
Directed by Peter Keelan, in collaboration with filmmaker Tim Maisey, 3D video mapping artist Matt Andrews, Linda Bradbury 'live' written word, photographer Nic Duncan and designed by Cecile Williams, and in collaboration with fourteen local musicians and artists, this project presented as two full-house performances at the Denmark Civic Centre in November 2014. Based in the lives and stories of 26 elderly people from the community and using a raft of unique multimedia artforms and artists....writing, dance, theatre, original music performed 'live', this project presented the richness of Denmark to two audience, standing ovations, and people being left inspired and emotionally moved.
The second half of this live performance, plus the encore, showcase the depth of 'community', willpower and talent in the town of Denmark, WA. Based in the lives of 26 elderly people, and responded to by 20 local artists, musicians, designers, video projection artists, writers, dancers. Directed by Peter Keelan, in collaboration with fellow filmmaker Tim Maisey, designed by Cecile Williams, Nic Duncan photography, Dave McKenzie production management, Jon Dodd sound design, video projects by Matt Andrews and a fantastic 'live' band playing original compositions.
